Open up the horizon
ORIS Oskar Bider Limited List

Swiss century-old watchmaking brand ORIS launched Oskar Bider limited edition watches to commemorate Oskar Bider’s legendary story of opening up the horizon and pay tribute to him. In July 1913, at the age of 22, he not only became the first pilot to fly over the Alps, but also drove his Bleriot XI monoplane to overcome the thin air of high mountains and fly to a height of 3,600 meters. Record, successfully conquered the Jungfrau.

Oskar’s life is full of adventures and challenges. He was born in Langenbruck near ORIS’s Swiss headquarters, worked as a cowboy in Argentina, and then returned to Europe for Bleriot training. Bleriot praises him for being a great talent, and it turns out to be the case. Oskar has set a number of outstanding flight records, including the first flight from Pau, France to the Pyrenees to Madrid, Bern from Switzerland to the Alps to Milan, and direct flights from Paris to Byrne’s pilot, and in 1919 became the first pilot to fly around Switzerland in 7.5 hours.

This year ORIS introduced the limited Oskar Bider watch to commemorate the heroic pilot’s heroic flight across the Alps. The watch features the brand’s unique Big Crown design — a coin-shaped upper ring and Big Crown digital display, a round retro Plexiglas mirror, a guilloché dial, luminous coated indexes and hands, and A brushed dark brown leather strap with pin buckle for a classic look. The case back is engraved with a century-old legendary picture and limited number, which is even more unique and precious.

The watch is limited to 300 pieces in the world, presented in a distinguished wooden case, which perfectly displays the extraordinary moments in flight history.
